Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how IdeaLine uses cookies and similar browser storage (such as local storage). It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What these are
Cookies are small text files saved by your browser. Local storage is similar browser-based storage. We call both "cookies and storage" below.
2. What IdeaLine uses
The IdeaLine application uses only strictly necessary cookies and storage. They are needed to sign you in securely and to make the Service work as you set it up. The application has no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
Our public marketing website can use Google Analytics, but only if you click Accept in the cookie banner. Until then no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics does track visits (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and how you arrived). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; we turn off Google signals and advertising features and ad personalization, and delete event data after [2 months].we do not sell this data to advertisers.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |

idealine.theme | Remembers light or dark mode before the page loads | Essential (preference), local storage | Persistent until cleared |
idealine.prefs.* | Saves display preferences on this device in demo or offline use | Essential (preference), local storage | Persistent until cleared |
idealine.cookie.v1 | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice | Essential, local storage | Persistent until cleared |
idealine.analytics | Remembers your Accept or Decline choice for analytics | Essential, local storage | Persistent until cleared |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: tells visits apart and measures pages viewed (marketing website only) | Optional analytics, cookie, only after you accept | Up to 2 years |
idealine.demo.* | Holds sample data in demo mode only; not used in production | Essential, local storage | Persistent until cleared |
Your saved preferences, such as default tab, calendar style and tab order, are stored in your account on our servers so they follow you across devices.
3. Third-party cookies
Google Analytics (marketing website, only after you accept) is a Google service and Google may set cookies under its own policies. If you choose to attach files using Google Drive or Dropbox, those services load in your browser and may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control them, and they load only after you click the relevant button.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (Sec-GPC: 1 / navigator.globalPrivacyControl), the marketing website treats it as Decline: the analytics script is not loaded, no analytics cookies are set and the banner is not shown, even if you accepted earlier.
4. Managing cookies and storage
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block essential storage you will not be able to stay signed in. On the marketing website, use the Cookie settings link in the footer to change your Accept or Decline choice at any time. To stop Google Analytics everywhere you can also use Google's browser add-on. Inside the application there is nothing to accept because it uses only essential storage.
5. Changes and contact
We will update this policy if our use of cookies changes. Questions: [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL].
