Accessibility in IdeaLine
What we built in and how to get the most from it with a keyboard, screen reader or zoom.
1 min read
IdeaLine is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and Section 508. These are some of the things built in:
- Every control works with the keyboard. See Use IdeaLine with a keyboard.
- Icons have text names, and important state is never shown by color alone. Status colors have names, and charts come with the numbers beside them.
- Text meets contrast targets in both light and night mode. See Zoom, contrast, night mode and reduced motion.
- The layout reflows at high zoom and on small screens.
- You are warned before a session time-out and can extend it. See Why you get signed out when you are away.
- Deleting asks you to confirm first, because a delete cannot be undone.
- The calendar PDF is real text, and Excel, CSV and JSON exports are available as accessible alternatives. See Download the calendar as a PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG or EPS.
Good to know
Our own testing found things we are still improving, and independent screen-reader testing is still planned. Read exactly where we stand in Download the Accessibility Conformance Report.
