Open your billing page

The page hosted by Stripe where you see invoices, change your card and cancel.

Opens with online checkout1 min read
Not live yet

Online checkout with Stripe has not been switched on yet. This guide shows how it will work so you can read it ahead of time. Until then, you can pay by invoice. See Get an invoice or purchase order.

Your billing page (Stripe calls it the customer portal) is one place to see your plan, your card, your billing details and every invoice. Stripe hosts it, so Stripe may ask you to confirm your email address with a code before it opens.

Ways to open it#

  • From a Stripe email. Open your latest receipt or invoice email and look for the billing or manage link.
  • From the Pay page. After you have paid, the Pay page shows a link to manage billing.
  • Ask us. Email hello@idealine.io from your account address and we will send you a link.
These are IdeaLine-styled illustrations with sample data. Stripe hosts and designs the real pages, so your screen may look a little different and some labels may vary.

Zoom in on each part

  1. Current plan. Update the plan or cancel it.
  2. Payment method. The card on file, with an Update button.
  3. Billing information. The name, email, address and tax ID printed on invoices.
  4. Invoice history. Every invoice, with its status and a link to open it.

What you can do there#

Stripe describes what a billing page can offer: update billing details including tax IDs, update payment methods, change or cancel a subscription, and view, pay and download current and past invoices. What you see depends on what a business turns on, so some buttons may be missing.

Good to know

The page is temporary for your security. If it stops working after a few minutes idle, open the link from your email again.

Only the person who pays should use it. Treat receipt and billing emails as private and do not forward them.
