Change your password

Choose a new password from Settings. IdeaLine emails you a reset link.

You can change your password at any time. IdeaLine sends a one-time link to the email address you signed in with.

Open Settings
Choose the gear button in the header.
Choose Profile
It is the first item in the Settings list on the left.
Find Password and choose Email me a password reset link
IdeaLine says a link is on its way to your address. The button waits about a minute before it can be used again.
Open the email and choose the link
The link works once and brings you back to IdeaLine.
Type your new password twice and save
Use at least 12 characters.
Watch for the confirmation email
IdeaLine emails you after the change. If it was you, there is nothing more to do. If not, use the link in that email to secure the account.

Tip

A password manager can create and remember a long random password for you. Do not reuse a password from another site.

Good to know

In the live app, Settings, Profile also holds short walkthroughs under Sign-in help. Only people who are signed in can see that section.
