Keep your ideas moving: a monthly idea clean-up

Capture, advance or park every idea so the list never turns into a graveyard.

1 min read

Ideas only help if somebody decides what happens to them. Once a month, give every idea one of three answers: move it forward, park it with a date, or let it go.

  1. Open IdeaLine and read the list from the top
  2. Move an idea forward when it has a next step

Choose a later stage on the five-stage line, or add a step with Add task. See Move an idea through its five stages and Add and assign steps to an idea.

  3. Park an idea that is not right now

Choose Park and set Revisit on to a date. See Park an idea and come back to it.

  4. Promote the ideas that are ready

Choose Promote to project. See Promote an idea to a project.

  5. Check Forgotten ideas on the Dashboard

Choose Revisit beside anything that has gone quiet. See The Dashboard tab, explained.

Your plan sets how many ideas can be active at once. See Plan features and limits at a glance.
