Create and use brand kits

Keep one brand’s colors, logo links, fonts and voice notes in one place.

Brand kits.

Zoom in on each part

  1. New brand kit button
  2. Open button on a kit
  3. Duplicate button on a kit

A brand kit keeps one brand’s colors (hex, Pantone and CMYK), up to six logo links, palettes, fonts and voice notes. Attach kits to a client under Clients & collaborators so the brand follows the work.

  1. Open Settings, then Brand kits, then New brand kit
  2. Type a Brand name (required) and a Short description
  3. Add colors

A hex value is required. Pantone and CMYK are optional and are what printers ask for. Estimate CMYK from hex is a quick screen-to-print guess. Use the brand’s own CMYK or Pantone match when you have it.

  4. Group colors into palettes

A palette is a named group of the colors above, such as one for a seasonal campaign.

  5. Add logo links

Paste https links to logo files your team can open. IdeaLine stores the link, not the file, so permissions stay with the owner of the file.

  6. Add fonts, Voice and tone, Do and don’t and Hashtags and handles
  7. Choose to save

Use a kit#

  • Open shows the whole kit. From there you can Print / PDF it or Copy CSS colors.
  • Print makes a printable copy. Duplicate copies a kit. Delete removes it.
Good to know

Plans limit kits: 1 on Starter, 5 on Team, 25 on Studio and unlimited on Enterprise. If a save fails because the limit was reached, remove a kit or move up a plan.
