Accept your invitation and sign in for the first time

Choose a password from your invitation email and open your workspace.

IdeaLine is open by invitation. A workspace owner or admin adds you, and IdeaLine emails you a link so you can choose a password.

Find the invitation email
Look for a message from IdeaLine. If you do not see it within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder and search for “IdeaLine”.

Choose the link in the email
The link opens IdeaLine with the title Welcome. Choose your password. The link is for you only, so do not forward it.
Type a new password twice
Use at least 12 characters. A long phrase that you can remember works well, and a password manager works even better. Then save.
Set up two-step sign-in if asked
Your workspace may require a 6-digit code from an authenticator app each time you sign in. Follow the on-screen steps and save your recovery codes. See Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app.

Your workspace opens on the tab your owner or you chose as the landing tab. Next, take the screen tour.

Tip

Next time, go to the sign-in page and use your email and password. See Sign in.

Be careful

Nobody at IdeaLine will ever ask you for your password or your 6-digit code. If someone does, it is not us.
