Keep your account safe
Eight habits that protect your account and your team’s work.

- Use a long, unique password and let a password manager remember it.
- Turn on two-step sign-in. See Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app.
- Keep recovery codes somewhere safe, such as a password manager, not in email.
- Sign out on shared computers. See Sign out.
- Never share your password or your 6-digit code, even with someone who says they are from IdeaLine.
- Check links before you click. IdeaLine emails come from the idealine.io domain. When in doubt, go to the sign-in page yourself instead of using an emailed link.
- Report a password change you did not make. The email we send has a link to secure your account. It signs every device out and locks the password until you choose a new one.
- Share read-only links carefully. Anyone with the link can see that project. See Share a read-only link to a project.
