Update or replace your payment card
Add a new card, make it the default and stop an old card being charged.
Online checkout with Stripe has not been switched on yet. This guide shows how it will work so you can read it ahead of time. Until then, you can pay by invoice. See Get an invoice or purchase order.
Change your card in your billing page. You type card details on a page that Stripe hosts, never inside IdeaLine.
- Open your billing page
- Choose Update under Payment method
- Enter the new card
Type the card number, expiry, security code and the name on the card.
These are IdeaLine-styled illustrations with sample data. Stripe hosts and designs the real pages, so your screen may look a little different and some labels may vary. Zoom in on each part
Card details. Typed only on this Stripe page. Save payment method. Makes it the card for future payments.
- Choose Save payment method
- Check the card shown
Your billing page now shows the new card brand and last four digits.
If your card is about to expire#
Update it before the expiry date so the next renewal goes through. If a payment fails, see A payment failed or was declined.
Remove an old card#
If the portal offers a remove option for a saved card, use it. You may need to add a replacement first, or cancel the plan first, because a plan with no card cannot renew. See Cancel your plan and Erase your billing information.
Never send a card number, expiry date or security code by email or chat. We will never ask for them.
