Ask for a refund

Who can refund a payment, how to ask and what to do if you do not get an answer.

1 min read
  • Ask IdeaLine, not Stripe. Stripe cannot issue a refund for a purchase from a business that uses Stripe. The business has to start it.
  • Our refund rules are in the Payment terms.
  1. Find your receipt

See Find and download a receipt. You will need the date and amount.

  2. Email hello@idealine.io from your account address

Say which payment, why you are asking and what you would like.

  3. Cancel if you do not want to be charged again

Asking for a refund does not cancel your plan. See Cancel your plan.

  4. Watch for our reply and for the refund

Stripe emails a receipt for the refund. How long the money takes to reach you depends on your bank or card company.

If you do not get an answer#

Stripe’s guidance is to contact your bank, which can advise you and may suggest opening a dispute. Please write to us first so we can fix it quickly.

Stripe’s page: Refund requests for a purchase made through a business using Stripe (opens in new tab).
