A tour of the screen

What the header buttons do, from search to sign out.

1 min read

Every screen in IdeaLine shares the same header. It stays at the top while you work.

The header is the same on every tab.

Zoom in on each part

  1. Search. Find a project, idea or file by typing a few words. See Search for projects, ideas and files.
  2. Notification bell. Shows when someone @mentions you or assigns you work. The red number counts what is new. See Use the notification bell.
  3. Color mode (moon). Switches between light and night mode. See Switch to night mode.
  4. Settings (gear). Opens your profile, display options and, for owners and admins, workspace settings. See Settings, explained.
  5. Sign out. Ends your session on this device. See Sign out.

Below the header are the tabs, and on the Calendar, Board and Repository tabs a row of quick filters. See A tour of the tabs for those.

Good to know

On a narrow screen, such as a phone, the buttons stay in the same order but may show only icons. Each icon has a text name that screen readers announce.
