Let clients review live previews and pin feedback

Show a live site, video or design on a review link. Clients pin exactly what needs attention.

Team plan and above2 min read

Files you mark Client can see on a review link show as live previews on the client’s page. If the link allows responses, the client can add pins and notes of their own. Your team is told the moment a client pin arrives.

Share a live source with a client#

Choosing what the client sees.

Zoom in on each part

  1. Content for this review. Shows how many files are selected and how many the client can see.
  2. Relevant. Keeps the file with this review for your team. Files already attached to the project start ticked.
  3. Client can see. Shows the file, and its live preview, to the client.
  1. Attach the live source to the project
  2. Choose Copy link to project and open Content for this review
  3. Tick Relevant, then Client can see, for each file the client should review
  4. Keep Let the person approve, mark items that need attention, and comment ticked

Clients can only pin when responses are allowed.

  5. Create the link and send it

What the client sees#

The client’s page.

Zoom in on each part

  1. Live previews. Each file the client can see, loaded from where it lives.
  2. Device size. Website previews at desktop, tablet or mobile size.
  3. Add a pin. The client clicks the spot, or uses the arrow keys and Enter.
  4. Add a note. Feedback on the whole item. On videos this is Comment on this moment.
  5. Use the live site directly. For pages behind a password or sign-in.
A client sending a pin.

Zoom in on each part

  1. Your name. Required, so your team knows who it was. It is remembered for the rest of the visit.
  2. What needs attention? Up to 1,000 characters.
  3. Task. Optional: which subtask the pin is about.
  4. Send pin. The client sees “Pin sent. The team has been told.”

What stays private#

  • Your team’s pins stay private unless someone ticks Client sees it on a pin.
  • Clients see their own pins and other pins on the same link, each with a name and whether your team has addressed it.
  • Team members show as Team unless they set a display name in their profile.
  • Clients never see your other files, projects, comments or workspace.

When a client pins#

The pin appears in the viewer with a Client badge, and your notification bell and activity feed say who pinned what. Link it to a task, Make it a subtask, and Mark addressed when it is done: the client sees Addressed by the team on their page.

Good to know

A link takes up to 60 pins an hour and 500 in total. If a client reaches the limit, send a new link.

Revoking or letting the link expire stops the client page, including its previews. The client’s pins stay in your workspace.
