Create and edit designs with Adobe Express

Make a design without leaving IdeaLine, or link one you already have.

1 min read
Choosing how to add an Adobe Express design.

Zoom in on each part

  1. Paste a link. Link a design you already have in Adobe Express.
  2. Create in Adobe Express. Opens the Adobe Express editor inside IdeaLine.

Create a new design#

  1. Open Repository, choose Add a live source, then Adobe Express
  2. Choose Create in Adobe Express

The editor opens over IdeaLine. Sign in with your Adobe account if asked.

  3. Design as usual, then choose Save to IdeaLine

The window for the new file opens with a preview image already attached.

  4. Add a title and category, then choose Save

Edit it later#

Open the design’s preview and choose Edit in Adobe Express. When you choose Save to IdeaLine again, the preview image on the card is updated and the activity feed records the change.

In Adobe Express choose Share and copy the link. In IdeaLine choose Add a live source, Adobe Express, Paste a link, then paste it and Save.

Adobe Express designs show as a preview image, and you can pin a spot on the image. A pin keeps its place on the design at any screen width. See Add, link and resolve feedback pins.

Good to know

The design itself stays in your Adobe account. IdeaLine keeps a small preview image (under 200 KB) and a link to open it.

If Adobe Express only offers to paste a link, creating inside IdeaLine is not switched on yet. Share links still work. See Set up live media sources: Canva, Adobe Express and the pin bridge.
