Live media in the Repository, explained

Connect Figma, Canva, Adobe Express, Loom, Vimeo and staging sites. Each preview always shows the latest version.

2 min read

A live source is a link to work that lives somewhere else, such as a Figma file, a Canva design, a Loom or Vimeo video, or a Webflow or WordPress staging site. IdeaLine shows it as a live preview, so everyone sees the current version without downloading or uploading anything. Nothing is copied into IdeaLine: each preview loads from the place the work already lives.

Good to know

Live previews work on every plan. Showing them to clients on a review link needs the Team plan or above.

A preview loads only when someone opens it, so a long Repository stays fast. If the owner of the work changes its sharing settings, the preview follows those settings.
