Comment on this moment. Pauses the video and starts a comment at the current time. Add a pin. Vimeo only: click a spot on the frame to pin it at the current time. Moment. The time in minutes:seconds. Change it if you need to, for example 1:23. Feedback number. Select it to jump the video to that moment.
- Open the video’s preview
Choose Preview & pins on the card, or select the thumbnail. Choose Show live preview to load the player.
- Play to the moment that needs attention
- Choose Comment on this moment
On Vimeo you can instead choose Add a pin and click the spot on the frame.
- Type what needs attention, link a task if you want, and choose Save pin
Jump back to a moment#
Select a comment’s number in the Feedback list. A Vimeo video seeks to that second. A Loom video reloads at that second.
Sharing settings that work#
- Loom. Set the video to Anyone with the link so clients can watch it.
- Vimeo. Public and unlisted videos work. For an unlisted video, paste the full link including the extra code after the number. If the video’s embed setting is limited to certain sites, add idealine.io to the list.
Good to know
IdeaLine plays Vimeo videos with Vimeo’s do-not-track mode switched on, and loads a player only when someone asks for it.
